That's what I thought. How many military personnel would want to see it?

It would conflict with the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

And since the article mentions ticket sales. I wonder how much of that was multiple viewings, by gay people.

Cartman: No dude, independent films are those black and white hippie movies. They're always about gay cowboys eating pudding. Wenday: No they're not. Independent films are produced outside the hollywood system. They're movies without all the glitch and glamour of Hollywood. Cartman: Well, you show one independent film that isn't about gay cowboys eating pudding.

I knew quite a few people in the Army that really would be disappointed. Most of them females. There sure were a lot of lesbians in the Army.

I thought they were homosexual sheepherders, not cowboys. I thought they were just confused men who mistaked being lonely and horny for love.
To: countorlock
Do lesbians want to see this movie? And does anyone care?

I haven't, but lots of others have. Its grossed over 41 million despite playing in less than half as many theaters of all but one of the other top ten grossing movies currently out. The unfortunate lesson in this is that Hollywood will realize that movies like this can make a good deal of money without a huge investment and will continue to put them out.
To: mlc9852
...the nations top grossing film per theater... Oh boy, can they ever cook the books.
Or was that supposed to mean, like, most gross?

Domestic Total as of Jan. 23, 2006: $42,380,000
I guess some are seeing it. I would not see it, but we are sure selling it on FREEPERS. I mean a day does not go by without a post about this movie that does not deserve all the attention it gets from us. Even MSM and some liberal papers have not mentioned it for awhile and we are still toting this movie. I know we are all against it so why do we continue to discuss it and yes, I know I did not have to read it, but I pretty much go down the line and read everything.
