Emily wins.
I agree. None of the "pretty boys" will look so good at his age.
I also like his attitude, his belief system. I'll watch anything he makes.
"was Higgins really Robin Masters the whole time?"
Near the end of the last episode, Magnum confronted Higgins and accused him of being Robin. Higgins sighed and said that he was. In what might have been the very last seen, which was Rick's wedding, Magnum and Higgins are groomsmen. As the vows are being said, Higgins gets Magnum's attention and sais, words to the effect, "Magnum, remember when I told you I was Robin?" A very self-satisfied Magnum responds: "yes." Higgins then sais: "I lied." It was great.
I lived in Hawaii about 5 years after the show went off the air. The fences surrounding the house that was "Robin's Nest" were still draped with tarps to deter gawkers. It didn't work. Whenever my wife and I drove by we would both crane our necks (nobody watching the road) to look onto the property. I guess we thought Magnum or T.C. might still be walking the grounds.
Not from where I'm standing. Joanna. . . .hubba, hubba.
Big smile on my face at that scenario, DJ.
Ditto that, c.
I think they are, but n-o-s-t-a-l-g-i-a sells, 1L.
After the mockery Hollywood made of the Dukes of Hazzard, I don't hold out much hope for Magnum.
I have a 20 yr old daughter that used to call Magnum "Magnummy". She was 3 when the series ended. 2 of her favourite movies? High Road to China and Her Alibi. :)
I watched Magnum religiously when it was on, at least for the first few years. Now, it bores me when I see reruns. Other shows I watched growing up, including Rockford Files and Emergency, I have or will have on DVD. I have no interest in Magnum.
One of the top 5 TV theme songs ever.
One of the top 5 TV theme songs ever.
Good enough to list it twice.
Great episode, I have it saved on my TIVO.
Something else I've been thinking about concerning Magnum. The story was about 3 Viet Nam vets and it was popular even after Kerry and his smears. If this is a remake, they'd better be careful as few will put up with any crap about 'Nam vets.
Sounds like he did die, and went to heaven... Well, at least when Magnum PI was on, it would have been...
That, in my opinion was the most brilliant move of any TV show, EVER. I was watching, and knew what was going on just by recognizing the old bedroom set. I was sitting on the edge of my chair by the time Emily woke up. It was GREAT.
I was a big fan of both shows. You had to be there.
LOL. Written by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter.
I'm still waiting for the Widescreen Commemorative edition of "D.C. Cab" to come out on DVD.
Speaking of which, what ever happened to my Beta Max copy of "Every Which Way But Lose"? You invite me over to screen it, send me on the beer run and then someone cracks me over the head with an empty liquor bottle when I get back to your yard.
Next thing I know, I wake up by the river, and I've got no pants.
Some neighborhood you live in.
