A college student claims actor Joe Pesci punched him in the mouth for taking a picture of him in a parking lot in Boca Raton.
According to an incident report filed Sunday, Juan Carlos Montenegro told authorities he saw Pesci in the parking lot outside of a Circuit City on West Glades Road and approached the actor to tell him how big of a fan he is. Montenegro, 24, said Pesci shook hands with him.
Montenegro told police that he then went inside the Circuit City to buy a camera. When he returned to the parking lot, Montenegro said he approached Pesci again and asked him if could take a picture with him. When Pesci refused, Montenegro told police he followed Pesci through the parking lot and continued to ask for a picture.
The incident report said that when Pesci turned around to face the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., student, Montenegro took a picture of Pesci. That's when Montenegro said that Pesci hit him.
Montenegro told Pesci that that he shouldnt have hit him, and Pesci responded by saying, "You shouldn't have been interrupting my business," the incident report said.
Police said Montenegro's lip was slightly swollen and his camera was being held for evidence, according to the incident report.
Pesci won an Academy Award in 1990 for best supporting actor in "Goodfellas" and was nominated 10 years earlier for best supporting actor for his performance as Jake LaMotta's brother in "Raging Bull."
Hmmmm.... Hard to be upset at Pesci for this. Kid shoulda taken "no" for an answer, instead of acting like a stalker.
Kid deserved a punch in the mouth.
Law won't see it that way.
I have a hard time condemning some celebrities for being upset about the unwanted attention. Especially in this case. But some celebrities egg on the attention and then whine and cry when it gets out of hand. They can't have it both ways.
Goodfellas is a guilty pleasure for me too. Ray Liotta's eyes...sigh.... Anyway, I recently finished a book called "On the Run, a Mafia Childhood" written by Henry Hill's two children. HH was a real piece of garbage.
I just saw that for the first time this weekend.
I wish they were making movies like that today.
I was wondering where you picked up that language. . .
I need to read that book. They did a good job making him look cool in the movie but I am sure he was a slime bag.
Total slime. You'll want to send your parents a dozen roses when you're finished, thankful that that wasn't your childhood. (I hope!)
I love Joe Pesci in all the "Lethal Weapon" movies.
However, like sports,
I just don't 'get' the mafia movies.....total bores.
Maybe I'm a organized crime snob ;)
Hill is either in jail or has just finished a sentence for drugs. I haven't heard him on the radio in the last year or two when he hasn't sounded drunk or stoned. He claims to be an outreach counselor for "those caught in the grips of addiction or gangster lifestyles" on his website http://www.goodfellahenry.com , where he also sells posters, books and spaghetti sauce.
I thought I had heard that he got busted for meth about a month or two ago. According to the book by written by his kids, even when they were in the witness protection, he couldn't keep a low profile. Total jerk.
The kid probably laughed at him, and didn't hear Joe say, "Oh you think I'm funny? What am I a clown, here to amuse you?"
See if I was a liberal, I'd say you hate Italians and are racist. So, I'm glad I'm not a liberal. ;o)
No,
I love Italians and I want to go to Pompeii before I die.
However, I guess I hate bad suits, totally destroyed grammar and most of all, people who are brutal murderers & get made into folk heros because of it.
Don't ask me what I think of "Scarface" ;)
I agree. Kid has nobody to blame but himself.
So true
