I knew many single women at the law firms I worked at who had not-so-secret, secret affairs with married senior attorneys or partners.

We've either worked at the same firms, or the situation is rampant. Sadly, I think it's the latter.

And, many of the married partners were married to their former mistresses, now trolling for number 3 . . .

Yea, I think it is common. For what its worth, the impression is that more than a few women realized that their fast track to the brass ring was to slut around a little bit for horny, middle aged married men. Whether they advance in the firm of marry one of them, they get the money and lifestyle they covet.

On rare occasion it works the other way. At one firm I was at, a not unattractive (but far from a beauty) female partner indulged in a little bit of sexual fun with a pretty boy, pony-tailed 2nd year associate. She was married but that was the least of his problems. Seems that she was the longtime squeeze of one of the other married partners (a sleight, little man both inside and out) and he didn't care for some punk buffoon indulging in his girlfriend.

Pretty boy was placed on a major litigation case with the worst partner in the firm. He was morbidly obese and seemed to have fangs, and started his days on a diet of chocolate donuts and yoohoo. He had contempt for pretty boy from day one. Within 1/2 a year, pretty boy had so much piled on him he screwed up consistently and the fat man fired him.

Pretty boy was set up, clearly, by the other partner he cuckolded (well, not technically but you get the idea) and fat man.

This stuff happens all the time. Law firms are strange places. I'm glad I quit the law and am in business for myself now.
