The father is a terrorist wanna-be (at least), and lied to the authorities. He did assist his son in going to Iraq, despite his earlier statement that he hadn't known his son was traveling anywhere. Father's background seriously suspect.

The kid lied and hasn't taken any journalist classes.

I want to know what the kid was doing there -- it sounds like he was a courier, probably for illegal passports.

Our plans have changed and we won't be going to Hilton Head on Sunday after all; maybe later in the week. We'll see.

The fact that the father instructed the son to stay w/family friends in Beirut for 10 days is highly suspect too.

With all the media attention showered on the son when the story first broke, why are they not doing a much more interesting follow up? Or at least mention that the first story turns out to have been false.

I would like to know whether any law enforcement and/or HomeLand Security is investigating this whole family. Do you know of any way to find out?
