Reminds me of a story a few years ago when I used to play EverQuest. Some guy claimed that his brother had deleted his account with his characters he's spent months building up. So he started going on that he was so depressed he was and that he was going to commit suicide. People tried to argue him out of it, but he said goodbye and no one saw him after that.
The media of course, started screeching about how addictive these games were and what a danger to children and that the government should regulate them- you know the drill.
About a month later someone found the kid, alive and well, turns out as expected, he'd faked the whole deal to get attention.
Not that I'm saying this is fake, and I feel bad for the kid if he did go through with it, but well I'm bracing myself for the media to blame the game for the suicide.
