Agreed. I think it is a fresh, clever show and Jason Bateman is brilliant in it. It's a shame they don't give things a chance.
Fox is notorious for this. Just like Undeclared. That show was great, killed it about 6 or 7 shows in. Never gave it a chance to build an audience.
No one watched Everybody Loves Raymond or Seinfeld the first few years. Look how well those shows ended up doing.

Given a good time slot and regular showings would help.
Some of the blame does fall on the writers. They do need to quit relying on in-jokes so much. They have great humor, but you have to watch every episode to get everything. Although saying "her" is the context of the show is hilarious, new viewers won't get it.
