Always interesting to hear of new endemic species being described.

This is an photo of a pseudo-scorpion provided by Zara Environmental that was recently found in a cave in Sequoia National Park and has been identified as a new species of invertebrate. That critter isn't new, those guys just spend too much time in the office. They can be found throughout the central sierra.
