My husband and I made a pact before we got married, that if there were any thoughts or desires to be with someone else, we would come to the other and discuss it.
We vowed to be faithful to each other til death do us part. Hence the reason we are "married".
... because there are ALOT of women out there cheating on their hubby'sYup...there are far more women cheating than men ever suspect. Especially as they get into their thirties and early forties.
Be grateful, very, very grateful you have never heard of her. A 5 hour trip to Vermont with only 1 cd mom just bought can drive one to near suicide.
Me too. :)
I would have slapped the b*tch. I hate snottitude

I really am sorry for them. My luscious frisky playmate (50 years old, on the wrong side of 200 lbs.) acts like an infatuated teenager, and keeps me thoroughly "entertained." (Did I mention that we've been married for 27+ years?)
Well, my gr. aunt married three times (was widowed twice) and she was a lively fun-loving rhymes with witch. She just liked a man's company. I saw bitterness in my grandparents' marriage and my husband's grandparents' marriage, but so much love, tenderness, respect and enjoyment in the 67 year marriage of another gr. aunt and uncle. And that is what I'm aiming for - plus a few more, God willing. Married 23 years and don't even want to think how lonely I'd be without him.
I'm happy for both of you!
I hear lots of these stories on the internet and once and a while in RL.
But when I sit down and really think, you guys are a rarity...so you're even more fortunate for that :)
LOL
Why do you think those things are shaped like little frizbees?
Where in this long rambling piece of nonsense does the author provide even a hint of evidence for his main thesis, which is that mistresses want to be wives? Most wives are wives because they choose to be wives, and most mistresses are mistresses because they choose to be mistresses.
You think the mistress is putting her life on hold for the sex?
Who says her life is "on hold"? That IS her life. In big cities, the mistress is sometimes living in a fancy apartment rented or purchased for her by the man (and per some NYC real estate agents, sometimes even purchased in her name), has plenty of money from the man and/or from inheritance or even from her own career, has a tremendous amount of freedom, and can walk away from it all whenever she gets bored with it. Many, many women -- not just mistresses -- don't regard their lives as "on hold" waiting to get married and have babies.
The author. You asked where did the author imply that mistresses want to be wives. This is getting circular.
To bad you could not speak up. I would have loved to see her face.
My grandmother is one of those women. Her husband died before my parents were married. My mom was 17 at the time. I've heard so many stories about what a wonderful, fun-loving man my grandpa was. I liked to believe that grandma was so in love with him that she could never marry another man. It's only about 25% of that. The other 75% is that she really hates men! I learned that after I grew up. She's a crazy old woman!
I would like to think that this is not a true statement.
