Well...first of all the front end alignment needed to be done, plus an oil change, and rotating and balancing the tires, and they're also doing a tune-up because some of those parts were corroded...plugs and stuff. And since I've really not done anything with it since I've had it other than an oil change and a fixing a problem with the rear suspension, I can accept that.
I can't remember the name of the other two parts that needed work, but I guess they're the boots that go around the front-wheel drive thingie. Man, I hate being an idiot about such things. They said they're the parts that keep lubricant around the whole mechanism, and one is split and the other is starting to crack - just age and weather, I guess. And I'm guessing that's not something you want to go far without. He said I COULD replace just the split one, but the other would need to be done within a month or so anyway, sooner if I'm going a long distance.
Also they said the power steering fluid needs to be flushed. Again, I've never had that done, and I've put 30k on the car since I've had it, and who knows when it was done before that. They did have a special on that service, so there's that. But...it adds up to a LOT.
CV boots, maybe? I'm looking at pictures and trying to remember what was said.
Hmmm sounds like they are not really plusing it up. You really don't want to let those boots stay cracked or before you realize it would need stuff far more expensive fixed.
The price tag hurts but that is all money well spent that will extend Vansama's life a good bit.
