That's a nice drive. If you can come through the Wasatch Range just east of Ogden as the sun sets over the lake, that's a treat for the eyes.

Too bad you couldn't run down to SLC and have a look in at Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore. I haven't been there, exploring the stacks in the basement (the "dungeon", old books) since 1978, alas...

This is a route I've probably traveled in part when I was really little, but I don't remember it. I was born in Portland and Dad has a sister in Utah - I know we visited at least once, but I only remember very vague details... Definitely don't remember any of the views out the windows, more's the pity!
