New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Well, what's worse is Pippin has this odd kind of mysterious hernia or something on his chest... if you pick him up a certain way, there's this very obvious protruding lump that sticks out like it's coming from between his ribs... if you push on it, it disappears.
It causes him no pain when it happens or when I push on it, but it's bery curious.
Uh-oh. Are they going to check it, then?
Hope it's nothing serious.
He sorta looks like Corin :~D
I want a garden gnome!
Not to be confused with other sorts...
I'm gonna mention it and see... It's really weird.
If that doesn't complicate his surgery, he can come home tomorrow afternoon, but Tweek has to stay overnight.
How are you feeling about this move then?
I have to admit, everything looked a lot more hopeful this afternoon when the sun came out.
*waves*
Sorry I got here after you'd already left. :-(
Still think there's potential. I do wish I was handier...I can't really do anything more complicated than painting, so I worry about all the other things that need to be done. I have a tendency to feel bad about accepting any kinda help. ;-)
I think a good scrubbing and some wall hangings and such will make a huge difference in the way the place looks...make it kinda homey. So there's that. As you said, it'll never be anything fancy, but I knew that...just didn't have the images in mind until today, so I'm having to readjust.
I worry more about whether or not the landlord is really gonna be much help. I can live with a lot so long as I have a bit of land and know I can ask for help if the sink starts leaking or other things have problems...but if not...well...I dunno what the future will bring, and I admit, it's worrying.
I've got plants I'll give ya too. He'll either step forward and do the work, or you can do what we do - call a plumber and deduct it from the rent.
It's a perfectly acceptable way to do it... if you ask to do that, they'll usually agree.
I'm still excited about having garden space. Just a little. ;-) I think Jen *must* be getting a little tired of my endless babble on that subject!
It's pretty solid except for the bathroom, right? And like I said, adding some things to the walls would help a lot. I'm not real fond of the paneling, just because I spent most of my time in the house trying to get that stuff OUT of the office, but at least it doesn't look buckled or busted anywhere.
In other words, I'm working back up to being all excited again, though I'm disappointed that a few of the problems will take a little time to fix. If it was *just* dirty things would have been a little easier. Really the bathroom is the main stumblingblock - can't live comfortably in a place without a working shower or bath.
And I need to use what's there as a canvas, and before I didn't have a canvas to start from. I dunno that I imagined it any *better*, just *different*. If'n that makes sense. So my daydreaming's had to rewind and reshoot. ;-)
I know you want that, and I stared at the property quite a bit trying to figure out the best way to lay out your garden. Hard to imagine with all the crap in the way. It'll be rewarding just to get all that eyesore cleaned up.
The inside needs cleaned and it will be a lot better. I'll go over tomorrow and empty and clean the fridge.
Macrame yerself a really big fishing net to hang on the wall. It can be a giant cat tree!
I'm not sure the cats really need any encouragement...
We could paint it this summer if you decide to stay... we're gonna paint here we think.
Decorating for cats!
