But it's a repeat of a really good episode, anyway.

Yeeaah. ;-)

hehehehe....I fully expect to toss and turn for several hours.

Got to get some sleep or I'll just end up snoring in the Jeep on our way to Tumwater. I can't ever sleep on planes for some reason.

Heh.

I'm okay with it. I just need to get rid of that mud pit in front of the gate.

And I can't find my blue food coloring!

We got some information a couple of months ago about a standing seam metal roof that has photovoltaic solar cells imbedded in it!! It was just COOL! It looked just like a regular roof with some clear bits in it, instead of just the rippled metal.

SirKit wants a silver metal roof someday. I found the neatest house plan a couple of weeks ago that would be perfect for a house down South. It is a u-shaped house with the open part forming a courtyard that can be viewed from all the halls of the house, the family room, the kitchen, and the master bedroom. It is a single story, and is sorta Frank Lloyd Wright looking with a shallow angle metal roof. Vey nice.

OK, I'm going to attempt an early bedtime.

Wish me luck!

Nighty night everyone!

I like that Hobbit Garden idea! One of my favorite flowers is the Indian Paintbrush. I saw them when we were in Montana, and they were beautiful! I'd be happy to send you a packet!

Can you get a bit of PVC pipe and attach it to the downspout, then bury the pipe below the walkway so that the water goes from the downspout into the pipe to the other side of the walkway?

Goodnight Ruthy! See ya tomorrow. Just got in from the grocery store.

Fridge is fully stocked with soft drinks, cheese and sausage, steaks, and a few pints. Got bourbon, Bailey's, and tequila. Got lots of chips, crackers, popcorn, and assorted salty snacks in the pantry. Plenty of coffee and hot chocolate on hand. Got bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, bagels and frozen waffles for breakfasts. So we should be able to avoid starvation. :~D

I just looked up your town on MapQuest. I didn't realize y'all were that close to the state capitol!

Hmmm. I know that they make connectors that go from that squarish shape to a round shape so that you can change from one shape pipe to another. Check Lowe's or Home Depot and tell them what you want to do. It'd be like a little culvert under your walkway.

Put in a French Drain. Dig a trench to about the bottom of the picture about a foot to a foot and a half deep. Lay one of those black plastic flexible tubes into it. Make the tube stop about two feet from the end of the trench. Punch a bunch of holes in the last foot or two of the tube. Put some gravel in the last 2feet of the trench that the tube does not lay in. The gravel should only be as high as the top of the tube. cover it all with dirt and sod. Now but a sidewalk over it.
