Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I gave a lot of slack at first with her, for that reason. But not anymore.
And yet I do feel sorry for her even more. She's being used as a tool of forces she does not see or understand.
She reminds me of Patty Murray. Six pounds of dog poo in a two pound paper bag... left burning on the capitol steps... and nobody gets the joke.

Seeing that pic of Sheehan kissing Hugo Chavez just kills me. Doesn't she realize she's kissing the same mold of monster that took her son away from her?
What next? A visit to Saddam himself?

Yeah, I've been wandering around as is usual for me.
Of course, I've been having trouble sleeping lately so I've been slightly weirder than usual.
(Only slightly, but I'm getting better!)

Good to see you!
Trouble sleeping? Have you tried drinking linden leaves tea?
It's got me yawning already.

Nopers.
I cut back on my caffiene intake.
Seems caffiene has an opposite effect on me.
But tea itself does sound tempting.

Why are you having insomnia? Do you know?
I have *terrible* insomnia sometimes...I call it wrestling with demons because that's just what it feels like.
Two Benadryls and a glass of wine and those demons don't have a chance in, well...you know.
Better living through chemistry!

Seems connected to some stuff I've been dealing with in 'real life'.
My brother in law is in the area visiting.
(Imagine a confrontation between Galactus and The Avengers...)

I think the bit with Hugo needs to be let run for now. Don't stop her when she's walking into the minefield.
It's like playing a fish. Don't jerk the bait too fast. Gotta let them nibble for a little bit, take a bite... take another bite... take a... WHAM! and you set the hook at just the right moment. :-)
I posted over on the Chavez thread that the CIA ought to just thoroughly mess with Hugo's head. He's so much of a nutcase already, it'd be child's play to get him just babbling nonsense and frothing at the mouth. It would be fun and entertaining at the same time. :-)

Well, I'm not sure what that means, but I take it it's some sort of conflict.

I ~love~ that idea you posted!
I'll even volunteer to bring the Rosie doll and let her talk too.
"You're a cutiepatootie!, C'mon. Give me a kiss. mmuuwaah!"
Oh! Or we could play The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins over and over and over.
hehehehe...He'd surrender.

Vague reference to comics.
Pretty much if the brother-in-law and I meet, one of us isn't leaving.
And there are people insisting on trying to force the issue.
And I'd rather not be bothered with him.
*hmm*

And if he didn't surrender, we could get rough.
Bring on William Shatner singing "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds".

Ah. Sometimes that's best...just keeping away from someone. It's hard for others to understand, but it is best in some cases.

Good night, Ruthy!
I've been monitoring the weather for Steve. It's a ways off still so I think I'll hit the sack too.
Good to talk to you all...especially you, Darks! Check in more often!
