New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I think the pipe between the house and the septic tank has fine roots growing in it or is rough around the edges enough to cause build-up (lovely, I know...but I'm talking laundry detergent, bath soap too.) It's easy to clear out with a hose, just have to do it once every couple of weeks.
I was telling Steve about it this evening (on the phone...(he's working on his paper, but I figured you knew that) and told him I'd fixed the plumbing again. He said "You've figured out how to do a lot of stuff on your own. You do a good job." It made me feel good...it was a compliment...but just added to the mild down feeling too.
Can't have cholesterol medicine until he gets home. I can "cheat" if he's just down the street at the church or if he's got responsibility of the jedis, but he's clear across town and in case of emergency I have to be able to drive. So it's Tension Tamer for me!
Tea sounds like a good idea in any case. Putting the kettle on...
I'll join you ladies with a cup of chamomile tea. :-D
[sip]
All fixed. I hope. [sigh]
My boss needed to head off the Balrog who's fixin'ta go on a scotch-addled rampage about some things.
So I'm firing back after a couple shots of Wild Turkey.
It's only fair.
:-)
Fight fire with fire. :-D
Here's hoping it's well and truly fixed now.
Tilo is another name for linden leaves?
I've had linden as tea...liked it, as I recall. I seem to remember Mom recommending it to me for headaches. I wonder...
Maybe I'll get some one of these days to try for medicinal purposes.
We used to have it growing outside, but it took over. We had to rip it out and start buying it in tea bags. :-D
It's great for whatever ails ya.
I've been feeling slightly under-the-weather today. Prolly fighting the variety of colds and flu bugs everyone around me seems to have now.
So I took a multivitamin with lunch and hoping that my body fights off whatever's trying to catch me. ;-)
We'll see... probly not... :-)
Well... Went over to the Jeep place today. I got the extra key (they only had one at the time). Have to go back tomorrow for a wiper blade. [sigh] Of all the things... there's a tiny defect in the wiper blade on the drivers' side. Leaves a little bead right in front of me. Driving me nuts. They didn't have any in stock.
Huh? How can a Jeep dealership ~not~ have wiper blades in stock? There's six others out there on the lot, can I have one from those? I suppose not.
Wandered around the parts department for a bit. Bought a cool "Jeep" stainless steel travel mug. Geez... I'm such a sucker for that stuff.
Might get the stainless fuel cap tomorrow. :-)
Oh dear...are you becoming a cultist?
Did a search on linden...supposedly it's also good at helping fight off colds. So there's that, too!
You don't wanna get sick now...
They have a cool hat too. Actually there's ~two~ cool hats. One ballcap and one booney hat.
:-)
I notice that the driver's side wiper is always the first to start leaving a streak or start skipping over the windshield. Why is that? Grrrr...
At least they'll have it ready for you tomorrow. Otherwise, I'd say just to switch the wipers so the bead is on the passenger side.
LOL @ gas cap. *shakes head*
hehehehe....
Funny mental picture of Ramius showing up at the airport decked out in Jeep gear from head to toe, holding the travel mug in one hand and huge Jeep keychain in the other.
Oh yeah. It's terrific for everything.
Headaches, muscle pain, colds, insomnia, stress, cooties, Avian flu....
*grin*
They cynic in me said that they ~had~ the second key the whole time... they only didn't want to give it to me until the check cleared.
But I've been watching my bank balance, and the check ~still~ hasn't cleared even today. I'm a little mystified by that. I know how clearinghouses work... and anymore checks usually clear in a few days, almost always inside a week. Now we're looking at seven business days, and counting... that's odd.
It's OK... there's Jeep Luggage too... and it will only take a few minutes to re-pack all your stuff into it before we leave the airport.
:-)
These days they probably even make stuff like Jeep laptop bags and PDA covers and cell phone cases!
Eek!
