The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

heh...I'd love to hear ~him~ try to sing.

I don't mind his voice. But I agree it's condescending. ;-)

Apparently Mr. Beepy has gotten himself an X-Box or sumpin...been car wreck sounds coming from his direction for the past coupla hours.

If it keeps him from playing rap, it's a beautiful, beautiful thing! All hail the X-Box!

Yup, this time next week I'll have everything packed and be trying to get some sleep.

Whenever I have to catch a plane early, I sleep terribly because I'm so afraid I'll miss the flight. :-/

No more cRap?

Hail the X-Box! Hail! Hail!!

It's kinda sad when car crashes sound soooo much more musical than his music...

I'm thinkin' that's probably gonna be pretty the forecast until about...oh...mid-March? Mid-April?

That's about what it was when we were there for the wedding, except a bit warmer. Still, it was realllly green and there were flowers everywhere. Don't see that in Vermont in April!

Very sad.

Let's hope he doesn't decide to listen to his "music" and play the car crash game at the same time.

Hopefully you really need to be able to hear the game to play it. And hopefully he gets *really* addicted.
