The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hmmm....the lobsters are the food? I wasn't paying that close attention. Lobsters taste better when they're small.

Wow...that's...very different. Teenage aliens who are ruled by lobsters?

The Crab People have been living in the Earths' crust for thousands of years. Every century they try to come out and take over the world. Unfortunatly man has many pointed sticks and their shells are too soft so they are always defeated. The Crab People last tried to take over the world by posing as gay men in a hit TV series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

Only by turning all men into metrosexual wimps could they possibly win....

I knew gay people wouldn't do this to their own kind!

Oh my god, they were crab people...

Mmmm...pumpkin bread...

You know, I still have a can of pumpkin I didn't end up using for pie over the holidays. How much pumpkin does the bread require?

Maybe I'll google pumpkin recipes later...see what looks interesting.

You don't remember anything about the album cover at all?

Name of the band? What letter it started with? Anything?

I've got a couple of different recipes. I think one of them calls for a 16 oz can and one calls for a cup or two of pumpkin.

I found a site that lists controversial album covers to see if anything similar showed up there, but no luck.

And more unfortunately, I was subjected to John Lennon and Yoko Ono completely nude. *shudder*
