Did anyone happen to watch the new show by Simon called "The American Inventor" last week?

No, I missed it last week as I was too busy watching my bracket! (NCAA basketball tourney). I'll have to check it out next week. Did you enjoy the show?

Maybe Jonny can do the ping list? In fact, last week I started a thread, because there wasn't any, and no one really posted to it. So maybe we can use this existing thread to play on as the show continues week to week?

I'm on the WEST side and the show starts later for me (hence the reason I'm always posting after AI on this thread).

I think it would be great to have a thread, cuz this show provides some great reasons to provide input and commentary. Definitely worth watching, imo, and I think a thread would be really fun (and funny) to have all the commentators as we do on AI.

I saw it last week and there were some great inventions and some not so great. Some people, as with AI, think they have are the best (and have the best invention), when the invention they have totally sucks.

There were people who had really bad ideas, like the Psychologist lady who put together inflatable mattresses, to put over kids heads, so they can use them as cushions to take out their agressions on each other when they are having a "tantrum". The judges thought she was borderline child abuse with that invention. Then there was the old guy who invented a "smoking gun". It looked like he attached a cigarette (or something) to it and used it to smoke things, like chips, clothes, his dog, etc.

Others have cool ones, like the guy who had the whole workout/gym in a bag thing and the lady with the edible snow globes. The kid with the air conditioning thing to go on a car window had a great idea, and it's sad they didn't let him go through.

It will be interesting to see what inventions get far though...
