A word about Clay Aiken. Clay probably could have had a successful recording career, but for whatever reason he has chosen not to work hard at building a show biz career.

I got the impression that his CD's sold well. And his concerts. I wondered why you left him off the list of those that have careers.

They have, but Clay has not put out a new CD in nearly three years. He did put out that Christmas album, but that qualifies as a specialty, seasonal piece. Essentially, he has not put himself out there in the general music marketplace since his first album.

He has done OK with his concerts, too, but only in small venues. He has not graduated to big theaters and arenas.

You can't have a successful recording career if you don't record. I think a big career is there waiting for Clay if he wants it, but he'll have to work at it like everyone else. If he waits too long, his moment will have past him by.
