Idol is certainly a wonderful market research tool for those in the music biz. Imagine, 33 million votes...each and every one of which tells marketers something. For instance, is Country more popular than Rock?
Cowell is a genius, no doubt about it. Raking in mega-bucks, paying out very little for talent. And the public loves it. What an incredible formula for success.
