I grew up thinking that the Marlboro Man was one of the sexiest men alive. Cowboys are manly, testosterone filled mysteries, and every little girl thinks they are just dreamy.

To tell me that some sexy cowboy would rather bag his partner than go out with a beautiful woman is just stomping on traditional opinions of manly men.

I knew one of the first Marlboro men. He was a cowboy, not a sheep herder, and he died with an oxygen bottle strapped to his back because he had emphysema caused by smoking. Cancer has an ick factor. Gay men in cowboy clothing has a revulsion factor.
