Bandwagoning is a real problem here in Houston as well. But the essence of the Cubs is that they're losers; if they were to win are they still the Cubs? Personally I think the Red Sox are boring now that the Curse is broken. Things like that add a sense of whimsy to the team. Although I imagine the fans of the teams will take the championship, and to heck with the gimmick.

The only receiver I like on the Bears is Berrian; if he stays healthy, he'll be good. I wouldn't consider Mohammed a young guy since he's been in the league for nine years, however, Moose was another personnel follies by the Bears. He dropped a fair amount of balls this year (I guess it's the QB's job to apply superglue to the balls for him) and spent most of the season moaning about his stats. Frankly, it's common knowledge that the Chicago Bears haven't had a decent QB in twenty years; so I'm not sure what Moose thought he was going to get when he signed his contract. Plus, since his old team spent most of the afternoon taking silly shots at him and therefore keeping the Bears in the game, he must have been disliked by them.

Yes. It was a dumb rookie move. But believe me, I've been keeping tabs on Benson. He was on one of my fantasy teams. And I have no doubt he is going to be fantastic for years to come, if he's healthy. Can you say 1,500 yards per season? As much as I like Jones, he will only be number one for so long. Benson will take over soon.

1. The Bears had an actual offensive line this year, so TJ/ AP actually had holes to run through.
2. Drafting Cedric Benson to begin with was a stupid move on the Bears part. Chicago sports analysts knew that the Bears needed a good WR or TE in the draft and were shocked when they drafted another running back instead.
3. Cedric Benson might turn out to have nice numbers next year, which would be awesome for the Bears, because they could trade him and get a good QB or WR prospect.

dont forget they also have Bradley but he got hurt, it would have been nice to have Bradley, Berian and Moose on the field with Gage doing spot duty.

Weren't the Bears fans all but screaming for Grossman to take the reins from Kyle Orton?

yea, and it was a good decision Orton 13 points Vs Carolina with 2 defensive ints. Grossman 21 points with 1 defensive Int. Bears D lost this game, 21 points should have been enough to win this.

How many Super Bowls would Brady have if you take away that stupid tuck rule and Adam Vinatieri? 0 A Super Bowl is a team accomplishment. Had vanderjagoff made that kick, you think somehow that would make Manning better? how? Brady getting some BS tuck rule call makes him a good QB how? Adam Vinatieri winning super bowls and getting them thru the super bowl makes Brady good how? Team Accomplishment, most of the time with the Patriots its a Team/Referee accomplishment.

Moose spent the whole season whining about his stats and dropping passes, so I'd consider him to be the most overrated guy on the entire team that turns out to be overrated.

Bradley's okay, but an unknown quantity. And the rest of the WRs are known throughout the league as being subpar, but of course if your QB sucks as well, it's kind of hard to put up good number.

The Bears could actually still use the receiver they should have drafted in 05.

good idea.

By the way............. the Steelers really know how to keep it interesting, don't they?

I guess they just didn't want all those Indy fans to get up out of their seats early and leave the game.

It sure was a bizarre finish.........

I hope you were watching PITT put a whoopin' on Louisville.

I just went through all the posts from yesterday's game. That's some sweet stuff!

What a freakin' game. I'm still drained.

BTW, where do you drink in Lawrenceville? I'll buy you a beer the next time I'm down there.

HERE WE GO!
