The Canadian penny, quarter, nickel and dime are nearly the same size as the US coins of the same denomination. Coin counters at banks puke them out but automatic coin dispensers don't and cheat US citizens.

Depending on the branches, you can often bring them to a bank that deals in foreign currency and cash them in (yes, you'll get a few cents less).

In 1984 I dated a woman who was stationed in Korea. The Korean 100 won coin (value about 11 cents) was the exact size and shape of an American quarter. We had a ball with the vending machines at the hotel in Honolulu.

I got what I assume was a one cent euro a couple of weeks back. It was about the size of a dime but copper colored.
