Taking care of the environment should be a conservative issue.
What the leftists are pushing is NOT constructive but rather, as with everything they meddle in, they do more harm than good.
I would be interested to see what your thoughts are on conservative friendly environmental efforts and the kinds of things the leftists appear to be meddling in that are not conservative.
