A new Conservative government will:

Create 125,000 new child care spaces over five years;

Provide $10,000 in assistance to employers, including businesses and non-profit institutions, for each new child care space created;

Make it easier for working people to juggle child care and work responsibilities;

Help employers create child care spaces in the workplace by allocating $250 million a year to employers who cover the full cost of creating spaces; and

Design the program to ensure that small business and rural communities will be able to access it as well as larger employers and cities.

Now why are the Conservatives wading into this next level of absurd socialism? Again, why is my tax money being used to subsidize the lifestyle of working parents?

I really hope if they get elected we get more than just tax cuts. I want to see SPENDING cuts.

I was asking myself, "How is this a Conservative agenda?"

Best wishes ... we never seem to get spending cuts here. The tax rate cuts produce more revenue (Laffer Curve) and the government just spends even more!

I agree that cut CAN create more revenue, although Western Governments seem to be addicted to this idea that they can cut taxes without matching those cuts with spending cuts. I mean, it doesn’t take much sacrifice and political risk to simply cut taxes. It takes a lot to cut fat from the budget. I think the Canadian Taxpayer Federation would probably agree.

Do you believe the allegations that US conservative groups have been in consultation with the CPC helping them with their campaign?

I hadn't heard of the allegations ... I'm following this very sporadically. I don't see why the Canadians shouldn't get advice from the Americans if they want to, though.

I have no problem with it. I'm sure the Liberals get help from American leftist groups who want to screw up our country as well as their own. Public endorsements from US conservative groups are not healthy though.
