I've been rather pleased with my laser printer, but they're a little pricey. You can usually find monochrome laser printers for a hundred bucks though.
Then they get you for the toner cratridge.
I've been printing out my poems. I have a stack of paper an inch high, but I've gotten all the way to E in the alphabet.

I seldom use color at the moment, but since I'm getting ready to compile a comprehensive genealogy with all the people I can find photos of, I will need the color.
One of my brothers was going to send me some cartridges, but he hasn't gotten around to it, yet. He told me right after I got the computer in December of 2000, that he would send me a scanner, and that was in December. It showed up in May, on my birthday...:o]
So I'm not looking for the ink any time soon...I'll be pricing printers, soon, for sure.
