...Let's suppose it's a nice sunny day and you've decided to go for a walk. You pass by your next door neighbor, who for some odd reason is chanting, "Wiggy, wiggy, wiggy! All hail the Aardvark," wearing a hula skirt and bunny slippers out on his front lawn. "Nice day we're having," you say to him. "It isn't THAT great," he replies. That is a relative. To you, it is a nice day; to him it is not. It is possible that it is both a nice day and a not-so-nice day because that is purely based on personal preference. Applying the same to other areas is where Western though has gone dreadfully wrong.That sounds a lot like Gandalf in "The Hobbit"....I see your point, but...
