My grandma started me with crochet, but I taught myself basic knitting. These are a group of girls who want to learn...so in a few minutes, I'll take my pills, gather up some needles and yarn, and a crochet hook, and think about the mysteries of casting on.

How's your headache?

My mother taught me to knit when I was five, but she taught me the garter stitch. I was so disgusted with her for teaching me to do something that didn't look like HER work (stockinette) that I put it down and didn't try it again until I was 22. Then, I basically taught myself.

I learned to crochet when I was 12, so that was fun...

There is still a "numb" spot behind my left ear and on the neck, so I'm thinking the headache can come back any time...I'll just do what I can do and leave the rest for another day.
