I think Utah uses lethal injection, now.
If there was a "hanging" or "firing squad" option that didn't come with the whole "dying" part, you'd think it'd be a lot more popular with the inmates.
Methinks after the firing squad the rest is irrelevant. Hanging (the slow way) appears to take a half-hour; I don't know about the "quick" way, but it seems not to be really quick either.
Not to be macabre, but I was shocked when I started seeing articles that "lethal injection" took from 20 to 35 minutes. The 3 chemicals are injected one minute apart, they tell us each of those is in massively lethal quantities... and yet so long?
