hey there...it was fun teaching about 8 girls how to cast on knitting...taught them the long tail cast on which they were fascinated by, half hitch cast on, one girl how to cast off, and a little about doing the knit stitch. All these girls are home schooled, bright, and sweet as pie...what a neat experience...

Well, they had an excellent teacher! How could they NOT be "sweet?" (Remember...others are only a reflection of ourselves!)

"..being a reenactor, I find you learn and collect the oddest bits and pieces of equipment and knowledge..."

Eric Sloane was a remarkable researcher and author, who clearly loved the relationship we've all had with wood.

Hi!

She's stable and awake, but she doesn't know who I am anymore.
Very sad.

Thanks! I had promised a description of the telescope, and 'Face said she gets her science instruction from my descriptions.

It was mainly a mental exercise. How to take advantage of all the talent and capability we brought along with us, to further the art of astronomy while venturing in space.

I don't think I quite explained all of the difficulties involved, but I didn't want to lose too many people in the trivial details.

Awww sweetie. I'm so sorry. I lost some of my memory in my car accident...three days worth. I know how scary it is for all involved.

Hang in there, Honey. I'll keep praying for you and your family.

Details?...What details?...
*snort*

I can understand most of what you write, so yes, it IS "instruction." And some days, that's a real job...that understanding stuff. (New research indicates that the brain is affected by CFIDS to the point of slowing down...which explains why some days, I don't want to drive.)

"... explains why some days, I don't want to drive ..."

I can identify with this. I've noticed when I am tired, that my highway driving slows down.

It feels fast enough to suit me, but the speedometer indicates I'm doing the legal speed limit, or slightly less -- a radical departure from my normal behavior.
