And yet the republican president kept on board a staff member from Palmer's administration. They definitely are playing to a non-partisan image of the Presidency (which actually is kind of nice for this show).
I stopped watching during season 3, so I missed this presidential election.
Biggest problem was the the unnecessary violence (like the guy killing his lawyer with a pencil) and the totally unlikeable characters, like Kyle and his cancer-suffering mother. I *loved* the Warners in Season 2.
Season 4 was fabulous. I loved Dina and Behrooz and that subplot (I suppose if Dina had killed Debbie -- Behrooz's teen squeeze -- with a pencil I wouldn't have liked Season 4!) Dina was a fabulous actress. I am also a big fan of William Devane's and was thrilled to see Mandy back.
