As a Southern California resident, I would say, probably most of them. Unless you have an all electrical house, you use it for heating and cooking. OK, thanks. I thought most houses were electric, since there's no actual winter. Usage would need to be high to for the infrastructure to be worth its while. I could see commercial use.

Our local electricity comes mostly from natural gas as well, so many people cut out the middle man and heat and cool their homes with gas.
During the energy crisis, much of our electricity came from the Pacific Northwest and Canada.
