As to whether Keifer is a a liberal or not, no idea. But I do know for a fact that Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, who created the show and now are the producers, are die-hard conservative Republicans. Also, Penny Johnson Gerald, who played Sherry Palmer, has since switched her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican and she said it is all because of the show.
Also, I haven't seen a single member of the cast coming out and saying anything negative about Bush.

I watched the entire 24, season 4 on Blockbuster rentals and have been going back ever since. Completed season 1 and 2 staying up till 2 and 3 in the am.
Going nuts..can't wait till Sunday for the opener of 5...TIVO is gonna get a heluva workout....someone help me, I can't get away from the TV.

WOW. That is good to hear. When I watched the seasons on DVD and they did the interviews of the actors she struck me as being conservative in family values as well. She talked about going home as soon as she could to be with her daughter and husband.
Em, she talked about the switch on the feature commentary on one episode of Season 2. It's the one where Kim runs away from the wrecked police SUV and stupidly hides in the wilds, leading to the equally stupid "mountain man kidnapping her" story line.
By the way, also on the commentary with Penny is Joel Surnow (I believe), and when they show Kim running from the wrecked SUV, as her ta-ta's are bouncing, he says "Hey, guys watching this? You're welcome."
Oh really? I didn't watch the commentary on season 2. Evidently many got hooked on the show like me during season 4 and then when the season ended rushed the libraries to check out the previous ones. Anyway when I had season 2 didn't have enough time to check out the commentary. I'll have to get it and watch.

One afternoon? It was a little over a year. But it's still stupid.
I got my info from TVGuide.com. They said she will be back for about a five episode run in the middle of the year.
