Confidential to y'all and stuff: One of you is handling the live thread for Wild Card Sunday, for Ultra Sonic 007, yes? My FReepmail is hanging for some silly reason so I am posting here. I won't be posting it... which should come as no surprise hehe.
SEE YOU ALL LATER!
>>Well the infamous "I resign as HC of the NYJ" episode has turned out to be one of the best career moves of all time.
It finally got Belichick out from under Bill Parcells' shadow.
Yes. As I remember right there was a big interview of Bill
Parcells on 60 Minutes, helping to spotlight the handoff
to Belichick...and then the next day came the word of
Belichick refusing to accept to position, or resigning on
the first day...and the famed NY Post BELICHICKEN headline.
A friend of mine in Ohio said that during his Browns days,
Bill was sometimes called Bill Dullichick :)
LOL. It' wasn't for the jags.
You were right........... btw, I liked 'em too.
Now, tell me if the Stillers are going to win today.
;-)
Eventually ...........
;-)
Steeler fan here ...........
OK...... get the coffee, I'm asking!
;-)
Good luck today.......................... younzer.
CORRECTAMUNDO.
Belichick is one of a kind, and me being a Steeler fan don't ever like seeing him as the opposing coach................ same goes for the genius QB, Brady!
Pittsburgh by a TD
the Jints by about 4 or 5.....
I believe they will. Cincy has to jump ahead early to force the Steelers to abandon the run. The Steelers can't allow Palmer to sit in the pocket.
I wonder if the Jags still feel "disrespected"?
I like Pittsburgh and Carolina.
It was quite and interesting reaction to the Watson run at the stadium. First we were happy he caught the ball, then we were sad because we thought he was going to be tackled short of the first down. Then he broke one tackle...no big deal because another Jag was coming to drop him short of the first down. Then he broke that tackle and we were thrilled because he picked up the first down. Then he stayed in bounds and we got even more excited because he was going to pick up more yardage. Then he cut towards the middle of the field and we suddenly realized no one from Jacksonville was going to get him and well the place erupted. Best play I've ever seen live (other than Vinatieri's kick against Oakland of course!).
I had the same reaction and then he goes ahead and misses it.
I want it just so I can go to another game this year. I'm still ticked off at the Jets from choking away the Pats hosting last year's AFC title game.
Good to hear that you have that feeling. I've been an athlete and a Steeler fan since the '50's. I've seen enough big games to know anything can happen. Cincinnati is very, very good this year, and Carson Palmer looks like he has arrived. Rudi Johnson is a beastly runner too.
It may be my heart speaking some here, but I still see the Steelers squeaking by by something like 27 to 23.
But, who knows. A tipped pass here, a fumble on a kick return, whatever. This is most likely going to be a nail-biter. Better go get the beer!
The Jags have a history of losing to New England in playoffs.
Well the Pats lead the post season series 2-1. Not a huge lead and Jacksonville is the last team to beat them in the post season.
Actually the last time the Patriots got beat in the playoffs, it was against the Jaguars.
Are you watching the Sports Reporters on ESPN? Lupica and Sanders gave the Pats their due but the other two writers completely dismissed them.
