Cows walk through the yard all the time, with calves often enough. Of course, they don't have to swim to get here since they can walk across the Tanana River this time of year. They can jump a six-foot fence no problem, and can take a two-inch branch off a tree in one bite. Sometimes they win a mano a mano with a pickup truck, sometimes they don't. There is nothing to swim north of here until the Yukon River, but there is plenty of wading.
