The actors of gay romance "Brokeback Mountain" earned four nominations for Screen Actors Guild awards on Thursday, more than any other film, further cementing the film's position as a front-runner for Oscars. At least they're calling it what it is.
Sort of.

I get the feeling that they nominated this film for the sole purpose of pissing off those who are offended by it.

Members of the Film Actors Guild have an agenda and so does the SAG. But giving awards to 'mainstream' perversion will not bring traffic to the box office.
This movie is in its forth weekend and has only grossed 15 million while costing 12 million to make.
I predict the red states will treat this POS like they did Alexander and it bombs in the end. No pun intended.

If this film wins an Oscar, esp, BP, it's going to further
polarize the dwindling audience, and drive away even more
potential customers.
A significant percentage of the populace is no longer
willing to support the narcissism and agenda of
Hollywood's prima donnas, not to mention the agonizing
question you face at the box office every time of:
what percent of this ticket is going directly to the DNC.

Joining Ledger among the nominees for best movie actor were Joaquin Phoenix, playing singer Johnny Cash in romance "Walk the Line" Joaquin Phoenix gave an oscar worthy performance of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line. I recommend the movie.
