Tinseltown teen queen Lindsay Lohan has finally 'fessed up to doing drugs — and becoming so bulimic that she couldn't stand the sight of her own skeletal figure.

In an explosive new magazine interview, the freckled "Freaky Friday" star blames her train-wreck teen years on an emotionally destructive dad, killer stress from the cutthroat Hollywood biz, and her heartbreaking bust-up with hunky first-love actor Wilmer Valderrama.

"I was sick ... I had people sit me down and say, 'You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself,' " the star admits in the latest issue of Vanity Fair, which hits newsstands today.

I think most men would agree that the ideals would be Sophia Loren, Ann Margaret, Jane Russell, Elizabeth Taylor, of days past. Curves are beautiful.

It's sad. Even though there are pressures in society, maybe more on women, it's up to each person to protect his or her own health.

This is sad, but doesn't surprise me. You don't get that thin by eating healthy and exercising. I hope she gets the help she needs.

What is sad is that some men find this attractive.

I asked my hubby why some are attracted to the boy figure and he has no idea.

It is one thing to be toned and another to be a stick.

I hope she gets the help she needs,as a guy those eating disorders is something I just can`t fathom.
I can`t comprehend how some one can look at a sack of bones in the mirror and think they are fat.

It is also hard to understand the problems that these celebrities, male and female alike, have.
I would hate to see how they coped with the daily lives that I bet 98% of those here go through.

There are. I was just referring to the time when curves were in and not the stick-thin figure that many in Hollywood are trying to achieve.

Agreed...

But, many women in that age group (and beyond) think societal pressures are more important than health. Thin shouldn't be the ideal - healthy should be.

But, even on this thread, you can see many people saying, "thin is good" -- but, to what end?

It takes someone with a backbone to stand up to societal pressures and say, "I'm fine at this weight, thanks for asking."

And mean it.

I have a niece that played soccer for Utah State University. She was a slim, healthy 5'7" 145 pounds. Somewhere she got the idea that if she could lose some weight, she could run faster.

She now weighs 87 pounds and has developed a covering of fine hair over her entire body (natures way of preserving essential body heat.) She can barely walk, let alone run and she has left college.

Her life is in ruins even if she manages somehow to stay alive. He mother at 48 years old is 5'5" tall and weighs 105. I think the pressure to be thin originated with the mother.

I have yet to meet a man that prefers ultra skinny women. It is usually women who convince other women that being "thin is in".

Ok, I wasn't around that day when that pic was first assigned to me and I'm still trying to figure out the connection.
