Given the following features, where are the best communities in the US for conservatives?
# of the best states in the union, I might add.
Best advise, if you can, take a road trip
I didn't make any reservations
Just got some input from MT, WY, ID Freepers, some information from state's web sites, put the dog in the car and started the drive to Montana from Michigan!
Best way to do it, had no problem finding accomadations even with my dog, saw a lot of this beautiful country and meet some very nice people
Yes, most rural Montana is quite red, thank goodness. BTW the Yak river has some BIG fish in it.
But since Missoula, Helena, and Bozeman are full of liberal pukes, its good to see the biggest city in the state, Billings, full of good old boys and gals.
So Billings is "good?" per my specs. Would you name a few of the best larger rural communities please?
BTW, what kind of fish are those and just how big do they get?
Thanks
Yeas, I really need to mountains...real mountains...not the large hills...LOL
The truth is, every state in the union has drop dead gorgeous places. I even love the great stretches of plains and farms in the midwest.
But there is nothing like the great swath from the Sierra Nevadas/Cascades to the Rocky's. All those mountains, so few people. No place on earth is as beautiful.
So true, when I was younger I wanted to travel abroad however I have lost my desire because I am blessed to live in the most beautiful country in the world and I want to see as much of it as I can
Coming to a town near you!
No, it does not meet your specs. Its in open country. Oops. ;o)
Thank you....
There are still many places abroad I want to see. But my dream vacation would be a year of travelling around the US. In fact, I could spend months just exploring my home state of Washington, which pound for pound, can be argued as THE most beautiful of all. ;o)
that's exactly what I plan to do when I retire in a couple of years!
gonna sell my house, store my stuff, buy a travel trailer and go!
when I said "coming to a town near you," I wasn't kidding
I might even do an "On the road with apackof2" travelogue on FR
You could hook up with freepers in various locales. When you get to the evergreen state, you will need to get expert Pissant advice (Oh, and I'll buy ya a drink or two).
Yes! Take some pics too and post them on my FR travelogue

Its a date!
Indeed. It would be quite cool.
You are pencilled in for August 15th, 2008. LOL
North Idaho....anywhere from Coeur d'Alene to Sandpoint. You'll know it's the place as soon as you get here. It just feels right, not to mention beautiful. As far as conservative, the Republicans pretty much run unapposed. Check it out.
*giggle*
Nope. Gotta take my daughter to Karate class that night. LOL
