But I'm still not cranking up my boxes to donate to a team name that is going away. I had JUST uploaded 600pts probably 5 minutes before this happened.

Team benefit is not lost if the team is only renamed (but under the same team number). And the fold you just finished was, after all, finished. The project still benefits too.

Eh, I'm three days away from any more contributions anyway, so I figure it'll all be sorted out by then ;)

Anyway, don't think of it as contributing to a defunct team, think of it as contributing to a team that doesn't have a name yet...
