WHO SHALL WIN?
That's true, and it's a shame Marino never got all the tools he needed. It could've been Miami instead of Dallas in the Super Bowl a decade ago.
The Texans, firing Capers? Oh boy, no one saw that coming. And speaking of the Bush Bowl, I bet anything that even if the 49ers get Bush, they'll still suck.
No it depends on what happens between Pit and Cincy. If Pit wins we go to Denver. If Cincy wins we go to Indy.
I hope the CAR coaches explain to their RBs that when they tell them to "run for the gap", they aren't talking about the space between Strahan's teeth.
PIT won today.
If they get Bush in the draft, he needs to make sure his contract stipulates massive amounts of team-provided alcohol. And you can bet he'll try to keep his years with that team to a minimum: 3, maybe, which is just enough time to establish himself in the NFL before a real team can pony up the cash to sign him and make a Super Bowl run.
You can blame Miami not getting to that SB partly on the Oilers who blew that 32 point lead against Buffalo in the playoffs that year. Dallas would have probably beaten Miami but Marino wouldn't have fallen apart like Kelly did.
I think Bush won't find much running room where ever he plays next year.
I'm talking about next week's PIT-CIN playoff game.
There is an outside shot that the Saints take Leinart with that #1 overall pick.
Ugh, Buffalo. They have a history of spoiling Miami's playoff runs, especially under Jimmy Johnson. Miami would make it to the playoffs, they'd play the Bills, and the Bills would beat them. That went on for years. You could set your watch by it. Frustrating as hell, too.
At least that won't happen next year...
I'm not sure what you mean. There is no scenario where we face either Pitt, Cincy or Denver in any game but the AFC title game.
Watching the LOSERBOWL... Houston & San Francisco.....
Why? well.....I really don't know....why do we slow down and look at a wreck on the freeway? Doh!
Once the bracket is set, it's set-- unless they changed things. They don't reseed every round.
Yup.
1990 AFC divisional playoffs: BILLS 44 DOLPHINS 34
1992 AFC championship game: BILLS 29 DOLPHINS 10
1995 AFC wild card game: BILLS 37 DOLPHINS 22
However you did eventually get them:
1998 AFC wild card game: DOLPHINS 24 BILLS 17
Indy will play the lowest seed coming out of the wild card round. Pittsburgh is the lowest seed so if they win they'll go to Indy and if that's the case the Pats (assuming they beat Jax of course) will go to Denver.
Turn on a meaningful game..Was vs. Phi. The Eagles just took a 10-7 lead. Good news for the Cowboy faithful.
Groan. Don't remind me. 1998 went nowhere, too, even after winning.
But speaking of the playoffs, what are they looking like? I get lost in the maze of "this team can make it if team X wins and team Y loses."
At least the Iggles came to do more than just collect their paychecks today, unlike the pitiful Falcons.
That's right. The Elway vs. Marino playoff matchup didn't quite live up to the hype. BRONCOS 38 DOLPHINS 3. Then Denver went on to beat the Jets in the AFC title game which made me very happy.
The AFC looks like this:
PIT vs. CIN
JAX vs. NE
IND & DEN bye
The NFC looks like this:
CAR vs. NYG
WAS/DAL vs. TB
SEA & CHI bye
What a fraud they turned out to be.
Thanks to those Falcons, I have to utter happy sounds for the Eagles.
I feel unclean... so unclean.
