I've had that mindset for a while now. Even if Miami makes it into the playoffs next year, I can't see them advancing beyond the first round. If that happens, at least we'll be back to the level of the Jimmy Johnson days.
Houston and Green Bay have been giving them a good run this season.
I swear, this game... "whoever wins, we lose."
Which I'm sure isn't good enough for you nor should it be. It was like us under Pete Carroll...good but not great.
You have to wonder if Reggie Bush is watching.
At least the Texans are trying to play football!
Houston 10, SF 0.
Houston, just named Texan of the Year for their taking in of New Orlean refugees, has decided to give New Orleans another gift, Reggie Bush.
Precisely. I'd say I want a return to the Shula days, but Shula wasn't too great at getting the Dolphins to the Super Bowl anyway. It is a crime that Dan Marino doesn't have a single Super Bowl win to his name.
I think if Saban stays around, he can be Miami's first coach with a legacy of championships. I don't want to say he'd create a dynasty with Miami, especially not with this team, but there's no reason why Saban can't be synonymous with Miami's success.
I bet he is... with beer on tap. You'd have to be at least slightly drunk to accept the fact that you're going to be playing for one of the two worst teams in the NFL.
The Texans need Bush more than a win here.
Philly just banked one off the crossbar.
PHI 3 WSH 0
Go Eagles!*
* For the Cowboys sake!
Marino never got the ground game Elway got at the end of his career.
That's the price of success.
If Houston gets the draft rights to R. Bush, they should trade it for some line beef and a handful of draft choices!
Also, seeing as how the Giants face Carolina next week, here's their earlier preseason meeting.
It should be noted that when first-stringers were taken out after the half, Giants were leading 17-14.
Brace yourself...ESPN is reporting that the Texans will fire Capers tomorrow. I may have to lie down to recover from the shock of this news. /s
Should be a good game. The Giant DB's should try to push Steve Smith into the refs.
So his final curse to the organization will be to win this last game, cementing his legacy as the bane of the Texans past, present, and future.
No, since we lost today, we host Jax and then go to Indy and play either the Steelers, the Bengals, or the Broncos in the AFC title game. We only can face the Steelers, Bengals, or Broncos in the AFC title game.
At least he got the Panthers to an NFC title game. He didn't even sniff the post season in Houston.
Almost irresponsible on the part of Carr and the rest.
