No, it doesn't seem that long ago. I will be pilloried for this, but landed on CNN the other night while channel surfing and Larry King had Nelson's children on for the full hour reminiscing and showing old film clips. It was a real walk down memory lane. Rick Nelson was a class act.

I watched the last half of the Larry King interview the other night, too.... brought back a lot of memories as I grew up with The Nelson's, American Bandstand, etc. I think I'd like to watch the DVD they are releasing. One thing amazed me the other night, Sam, the child he knew the least, is the spitting image of Rick... the other three look just like their mother.
Did Mark Harmon end up raising Sam, or did Kris prevail? I never really heard the outcome of that mess.

I also stumbled onto LK on CNN, but no excuses, seeing all of Rickys family & hearing them talk about family & memories, was worth it. Mostly, LK had little to say & the show was totally focused on the Nelson family!
I stayed up to tape the replay!
It was eerie how much Sam looks like his dad!
