I must confess that I was hoping we would keep Collins, draft Sean Taylor and keep the picks instead of drafting Maning. I was wrong. That kid is special. He'll get better and better with time, especially with almost the entire offense locked into place over the next few years.
No kidding. Even though he's had his unfortunate mistakes (who doesn't?), he's still only played for little more than a whole season. He's young. He's a quasi-Rookie/semi-sophomore. Just because he's a Manning doesn't mean he'll be perfect all the time (would Peyton be as good as he is outside of Indianapolis' dome or without the tools he has that he's GROWN with for the last several years?). It seems many people have forgotten that.
Give him time. Who knows, he may just hit his stride today...and heading into the postseason in stride is big.
