Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots
conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse,
to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America.
And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

With acceptance into my family comes good security. Not in the La Fagmilia kind of way, though.

This is more of the "traditional " plaid most think ofAs I am the only son who isn't a "suit", and the only one who can still understand heavy scot accent, my mom thinks it's her responsibility to buy me plaid shirts in every concoction imaginable. She doesn't catch that some of the plaids she buys are those of "the enemy". LOL. I prefer a good traditional LL Bean oxford, anyway, even though Van Heusen shirts are a family product from my dads side. (no longer american made :( }
To: ozarkgirl
I'm guessing you bought and tasted some? Umm, I'm guessing not?? Can't say I blame you there, do you know what it's made of???HA! :D...I said, "Looked good."
...Would I have eaten any? no. If straving, perhaps..
...made of? Seasoned Grains (barley/wheat?) stuffed in sheep stomach, then roasted/stewed. Friend in a Scottish Bagpipe Group said, "At an Annual Dinner; it was served, not many takers/heroes".

Sorry for the late ping...my cross-Missouri move took longer than expected.

My plans for ringing in the new year = Nothing. I'm here in St. Louis watching Tommy Boy with the family. I'm worried about my one cat -- she won't come out of the corner, and she growls at me when I come near.
She's never done that before, but I'm sure that moving is traumatic for a cat.

I moved from northwest Missouri to the St. Louis area, but it is only temporary (possibly).

It's not at church - just hosted by a girl I know through church.
Party doesn't start until ten, and I'm already tired. I hope I don't regret saying I'd come...
To: scott7278
I've moved a coupla times with my cats...it does take some time to adjust. One of them typically hides under the bed for awhile if anything major changes. I wouldn't worry about it.
Is this enough of an excuse to post another picture of Tam?
To: scott7278
Hope you don't have a lot of stuff, in the event you have to move again. The only upside to moving a lot is that you tend to jettison things as you go along, and thus don't accumulate as much.
To: RosieCotton
Sorry for misreading your post -- have fun tonight!
