If it weren't for talk radio, and especially Rush, the conservative movement wouldn't be anywhere near where it is today. I'm more a fan of Dr Dobson, but I certainly give the others credit, especially Rush. I'm astounded at the criticism, but maybe I shouldn't be, considering the tone of this thread and others like it.
Rush picked up a lot of his stuff from Alan Berg.
The trouble with talk radio and television talk shows is that they have lowered the level of political debate down to the lowest common denominators. Most don't even offer debate, but rather, pandering diatribes.
Unless of course you remember a fella by the name of Ronald Reagan, without whom Rush et al wouldn't be where they are today...I've been a conservative since July 1981. How about you?
