You could try to explain how worshipping rusty stains on watertowers, asking 'visions' of Mary on French Toast to cure you, or venerating before bleeding statues is NOT worshipping of false idols...but I doubt you'll bother. You're too paranoid looking for those evil, insidious "people with agendas" to turn those critical eyes on the topic at hand.
I'm a confirmed Catholic, so you can cross off "Anti-Catholic bigot" off your Paranoia list. I just don't believe in statue/rust stain/cheese toast worship, sorry.
