Is Cartman a crook?
Peter and Bobby Farrelly, the gross-out gurus behind Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary are accusing South Park masterminds Trey Parker and Matt Stone of ripping off a movie idea.

SEVEN years they waited? How dare they complain. Get off your ass and just do it next time.
South Park is great entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less.
And let me state for the record that I'm not a conservative. Never have been, never will be.
Oh, duh. That's right regarding Roger.
Towelie will come back after Lemmiwinks returns and three weeks after we find out who is Cartman's father.
Thanks!
I guess in about 20 years we can see where these young guys are or if anyone remembers them.
Happy New Year!
How's that for making fun of retarded people?
In all honesty, I don't find mentally handicapped people funny in the least. Well except for that kid who played "Corky" on "Life Goes On". And he was trying to be funny.
I think what most of the people slamming SP fail to realize is that the surface context of the show might be offensive, but if you stop and examine the underlying message, you'll see that the opinions expressed are very conservative.
For example, the bleeding statue episode. The Virgin Mary was never once maligned. The targets were the lemmings who flock to every half baked apparition of Christ or Mary, be it in the grain of a wooden door, a frosted window, or a piece of toast.
Then let's consider the episode referenced in the original post. "Retarded" people were not ridiculed. They were shown in the most positive light. The character "Cartman" was the one shown to be lacking. He wanted money and thought the best way to get it was by Compton against those he felt were less than him. In the end, Cartman was shown to be the one lacking.
Do the creators of Southpark slam organized religion?
Yes. As well they should. Although I identify myself as a Southern Baptist, it's been years since I darkened the doors of a church. If only I could find a way to attend a worship service and not have to deal with some of the people who are there. I don't care what others are wearing, and I don't care who is less Christian than they should be. I just don't want to hear any of that. I'm too busy trying to get the beam out of my own eye to worry about the mote in someone else's.
Several posters have stated that those of us who do like Southpark aren't true conservatives. The question I'd like to ask is: Who died and made them the final arbiter's of all things conservative?
SouthPark may be trying to make a political point and some may see that point as conservative. But when you get right down to it, SP is nothing more than toilet bowl humor, IN MY OPINION. It debases our culture, IN MY OPINION.
However, I know people make their own decisions on what they watch. I for one, will not waste my time on SP.
Not to mention two feature films. I bet my yella dog could whoop his anyways.
ROTFLMAO!!! I just about spit canned peaches on my monitor.
May I steal that?
'Tis not mine to steal, so go for it!
Yet, you seem to be wasting plenty of time on South Park related threads.
Happy New Year!
Yoink!
I think there are only about 5 people on the internet who create graphics and the rest of us just steal them. ;-)
I think I know her. Didn't someone drop a house on her sister?
Oops! There I go again, referencing an evil movie depicting the abomination of a "Good Witch".
My next door neighbor who has a Down's kid thought it was hilarious. She said her kid makes a lot more sense than some of the crap she's seen posted on threads like these.
Oh - I sure hope I can share that moment with you!
Here's the thing yellowdog... You're wrong, for the right reasons. And we're right, for the wrong reasons. :~D
LOL
