My USB mouse boots up OK on my KVM switch but my PS2 (even with a standard PS2 to USB adapter) keyboard is not recognized in either Windows XP or on the Mac Mini OS X setup screen where it just hangs on detecting the keyboard.
Does any one know of a USB keyboard that's cross-platform and works with both Windows XP and OS X? I need both computers to be able to detect the presence of the keyboard via the KVM Switch just like they successfully detected the presence of the mouse.
Any USB keyboard should work with both. You'll just have to figure out how the command keys at the bottom of the keyboard map between the two systems.

Have you tried it without any additional software? It should work.
PS - use a USB keyboard, no adapters.

A USB keyboard doesn't have that problem. The only difference between a Windows keyboard and a Mac keyboard now are the names and pictures on the command keys at the bottom of the keyboard. You can get stickers with both the windows and mac depictions and put them on the keys.
