What bothers me most is that I was raised in this stuff.... AND NEVER saw it bloom. granted, I had cowgirls to look at &ct... but I've never seen these flowers, and they bloom here.
The trees exist already. Since daddy passed, we've got lots of trees in the pond.
Why did I never see those flowers?
And what else am I missing?

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a pretty good one today, even though the dreaded gomboo has hit members of my family. Some couldn't come due to new baby/not wanting to pick up the dreaded gomboo. Others dropped stuff off for the sick in the family. My sister and I took over for my mom and we had a good potluck/buffet dinner for everyone. Everyone left and my dad remarked (again) how quiet it is when everyone leaves.
I'll be here through tomorrow evening, then I'll go home. I think I am going to catch up on sleep tomorrow. I went grocery shopping at 3:30 am yesterday morning, which turned out to be a very wise decision. I was able to get everything I needed, which meant I could run out at 9:00 am and finish up. I missed the croweds.
We went to dinner at the Foundry Grill at Sundance. Yum. I had the best tenderloin I have ever had, it was to die for. The ambience was great, it is very picturesque. Too bad that Robert Redford owns it, I hate to line his pockets. But none of us have ever had a bad time or bad meal there.
I hope Santa brought everything you wanted. And that the true meaning of Christmas was yours today, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
My parents have a Siamese cat. She's been scarce the past few days because my sister brought her Brittany Spaniel dog. The cat would stand at the front door and howl for food. But she wouldn't step inside the house. Which is why her food dish ended up on the front door this morning. She was on alert the whole time she ate.
I just let her in the house (that dreaded dog smell is gone and all those small humans.) She also likes to play the game of inside/outside. She'll cry to come in, eat, walk around, then want out. 10 minutes later she's back at the door wanting to come in. And so it goes...good thing she's crawled into everyone's heart.
