We were the toothless old wonders that went outside to smoke, checked out the pond, which is about 12 ft low because of the drought, the concrete pond, where the fish are tiny and the tree leaves are not cleaned out well enough, and the geese, which we agree need to be fatter, but would be good, if stringy.

He also pointed out a tree that flowers in the spring, and the flowers bring $$s in the asian markets. I promised to pick the flowers, pack them, and send them to him to sell. We'll split the cash with mom. (I've got more cash than that in the side pocket of the truck, but it's a deal)
